Overview
A prep station making crinkle cut fries, carrot coins or garnishes is where this small cutter belongs. A wavy stainless steel blade leaves a ridged surface on potatoes and vegetables.
The wavy edge turns a plain cut into a decorative one with no extra gear. It is small, so big potatoes and hard roots take effort, and you receive whichever color ships.
Who it's for
Families making fries and kids helping in the kitchen, and cooks who like decorative cuts on vegetables. Those who slice large quantities should use a mandoline or a full size knife.
Pros and cons
- Wavy blade makes crinkle cuts
- Stainless steel blade
- Small and easy to store
- Colors cannot be chosen
- Small blade for big produce
- Weight very light
Performance notes
The ridged blade presses a wave into the surface as it cuts, so thick, firm items such as potatoes give the cleanest result. Soft foods squash, and a sawing motion helps with dense roots.
