Overview
Steeping a bag of this oolong gives a mellow cup that is neither too dark nor too light. The tea is a single ingredient, packed in sealed packets inside each of the six boxes to protect freshness.
Six boxes make a long-lasting supply of everyday oolong, and the mild flavor pairs with most food. The limit is the caffeine level and the lack of brewing guidance in the listing.
Who it's for
A kitchen or office stocked for steady tea drinking with meals. Evening drinkers and caffeine-sensitive people should look at decaf or herbal teas.
Pros and cons
- Mellow, mild flavor
- Bulk six-box pack
- Gluten free and kosher
- Long shelf life
- Brewing instructions not listed
- Plain, with no flavored variety
Performance notes
Oolong falls between green and black tea in oxidation, giving a medium body without bitterness when steeped properly. Caffeine content is high per the listing, so strength depends on steeping time and water volume. Sealed packets slow staling of the leaf.
