Overview
A crawfish angler or bait gatherer wanting a simple trap gets the Frabill 1272 here, which the listing places under nets and traps. The material is a blend and the listing gives two pieces.
A purpose-built crawfish trap is the reason to look at it for catching your own bait. The limit is that the listing gives no dimensions, mesh size or assembly steps.
Who it's for
Anglers who catch their own crawfish for bait suit a trap like this. Anglers who only use artificial lures have no use for one.
Pros and cons
- Made for crawfish
- Dimensions not listed
- Assembly not described
- Mesh size not listed
Performance notes
A trap works by letting crawfish in and making it hard for them to leave, so placement near cover matters. Bait inside draws them. Checking the trap often helps what you gather stay fresh.
