A playful ceramic menorah for a mantel or sideboard that still does the real job of holding the candles. The animal shape is a design choice, so a traditional look needs a different style.

Overview
Not a branched candelabra, this menorah is shaped like a dachshund and made of high-fired stoneware. A soft satin matte glaze covers the white surface. It is a fully functioning menorah that doubles as a mid-century style animal figure.
A familiar holiday object gets an animal form, with subtle layers of pattern and decoration under the glaze. It suits a household that wants the menorah to be part of the room decor all season. The listing places it indoors on a tabletop, and it does not list candles as part of the set.
Who it's for
A holiday table, mantel or sideboard where the menorah is meant to be seen as decor. Gift buyers who like mid-century animal pieces will also find the brief covered. A classic branched silhouette is not what this offers.
Pros and cons
- Functioning menorah with taper candle positions
- High-fired stoneware body
- Satin matte glaze finish
- Animal form doubles as decor
- Indoor use only
- Novelty shape departs from traditional design
- Tabletop placement only
- Included candles not listed
Performance notes
The body is formed to hold the taper candles and the shamash in the animal shape. Fired stoneware gives a dense, rigid piece, and the matte glaze has a soft finish, so candlelight does not glare off the surface.
