Overview
A foldable alloy steel blade swings out of a soft grip handle on this Fiskars saw, which cuts by hand with no power source. The listing recommends it for wood, and the blade has six teeth listed.
A folding body makes it easy to pack, and the soft grip eases long cutting. The limitation is the confusing size entries, since two figures in the listing make no sense for a hand saw.
Who it's for
Trail clearing, garden pruning and light wood cutting are typical situations. Shoppers wanting speed, large capacity or a rigid frame saw should look at a different tool.
Pros and cons
- Folds for carrying
- Soft grip handle
- Alloy steel blade
- No power needed
- Weight entry looks wrong
- Unit count entry looks wrong
- Cutting depth not stated
Performance notes
Tooth shape and spacing set how fast the blade cuts, and the folding hinge locks the blade open in use. A soft grip spreads the pressure over the hand on long strokes. Blade length caps the thickness of limb or board.
