Overview
Pacific makes this S5R as a safety style cutter with a manual retractable handle. The handle combines plastic, metal and steel, and the blade is metal.
A hand-retracted handle gives a cutter that can be closed away after each cut, which suits tasks where an exposed blade is a hazard. The limitation is detail: the listing has no bullets or description, so blade type and replacement options are unknown.
Who it's for
A workstation where cutting is frequent and an exposed blade is a risk suits a retractable handle. Users who need a particular blade style or a folding lockback should check other listings.
Pros and cons
- Manual retractable handle
- Light mixed material handle
- Green handle color
- Safety cutter design
- Blade size and type not listed
- No replacement blade information
- Listed length looks unreliable
Performance notes
Cutting depends on the metal blade fitted, and the listing does not describe blade geometry. The manual retract design relies on the user to withdraw the blade after each cut, so safety depends on habit as much as on the tool. A light handle reduces fatigue during repeated cuts.
