Overview
Not a rifle scope with a plain reticle, the XB30 is built for crossbows, with a multiple aim point SR reticle calibrated through its variable power ring. A mono-tube aluminum body, fully multi-coated lenses and a stepless side rheostat for reticle brightness round out the build.
Setting the zoom ring to the speed of the bow lines up the aim points in steady distance steps, which helps hunters who shoot at varying range. The limitation is missing data: the listing gives no magnification range, eye relief or weight.
Who it's for
Crossbow setups where the shooter sights in once at the short range and then relies on the reticle marks for longer shots. Faster bows than the listed calibration limit fall outside its design. Rifle shooters and anyone needing a night vision optic should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Speed ring zoom calibration
- Stepless reticle brightness control
- Fully multi-coated lenses
- Waterproof and nitrogen purged
- Magnification range not listed
- Eye relief and weight missing
- Cantilever mount only
- No night vision
Performance notes
Turning the variable power ring changes how the reticle marks line up against the target, which is how the scope is matched to the bow speed after sighting in. The stepless rheostat adjusts reticle brightness smoothly for bright or dim light, and nitrogen purging helps prevent internal fogging.
