Overview
A finish carpentry job in a finished room is where a cordless nailer helps most, because there is no hose to drag across floors. The tool runs from a lithium ion battery that the listing says is included.
Skipping the compressor is the reason to look at it, since setup is a battery and a trigger. The limitation is that the listing never says which nails it takes.
Who it's for
Carpenters and installers who value quiet, hose-free setup will like a battery nailer. A buyer committed to a particular nail type should verify it with the maker, since the listing is silent.
Pros and cons
- No hose or compressor
- Light enough for trim work
- Manufacturer warranty listed
- Nail type not listed
- Charger not named in the contents
- Magazine capacity not given
- Depth setting not described
Performance notes
A cordless nailer stores energy in its mechanism and fires from the battery, so the pack's charge level affects how consistently nails sink. Dense wood needs more driving force than soft wood. Without a hose, the tool is free to move but carries the full weight of the battery in the hand.
