Overview
Sougayilang packs a nine foot, medium heavy fly rod together with a reel, fly line, backing line, tapered leader and flies. The kit is listed for both saltwater and freshwater and comes with a black bag.
Everything needed to start casting is in the kit, which suits a new angler who does not want to match parts. The line weight is given in pounds, not a fly line weight, and the rod action and number of pieces are absent, so matching extra gear is guesswork.
Who it's for
Beginners who want a ready-to-fish outfit for fresh or salt water fit this kit. Anglers who match rod, reel and line carefully will miss the line weight and action details.
Pros and cons
- Rod, reel and line included
- Leader and flies included
- Carry bag included
- Fresh and salt water listed
- Line weight given in pounds
- Rod action not listed
- Piece count missing
Performance notes
The rod is listed at nine feet with medium heavy power, and the reel, line and leader come in the kit. The listing gives a line weight in pounds, so a standard fly line rating cannot be read from it.
