A living room session with an acoustic guitar and voice is where the DR-01S Rhythm Partner belongs, adding simple grooves that suit unplugged music. A plastic body houses an onboard speaker, a friendly interface and battery power.
Unplugged players get a backing percussionist that avoids drum machine sounds from electronic music. Beats and variations are quick to tailor. Sound library size and song memory are not listed.
Who it's for
Suited to a solo performer or a duo that plays acoustic guitar, ukulele, violin or piano and needs a light rhythm feel. Producers after electronic drum sounds should look elsewhere.
