Overview
A driveway street hockey game gets this Franklin Sports Ambush stick, a one-piece build with a wood and fiberglass shaft and an ABS blade. The listing offers it in three lengths.
One-piece construction avoids a joint that can loosen, and the blade is a hard plastic made for hitting. The listing covers right-hand and one length only, so lefties and other heights need a different option.
Who it's for
Driveway and rink play for kids and adults who want a basic stick is the use. Players needing left-hand orientation or a different length must choose another option.
Pros and cons
- Wood and fiberglass shaft
- High-impact ABS blade
- Balanced swing weight
- Right-hand only in this listing
- Ice hockey use not listed
- Other lengths sold separately
Performance notes
A wood and fiberglass shaft gives stiffness with some flex through the shot. The ABS blade is the contact surface for the ball or puck, and a one-piece stick passes force along without a joint.
