Overview
Wrapping the black polyester and elastic strap around the wrist, a lifter locks it with hook and loop after looping the thumb through the end. It is aimed at powerlifting, strength training and bodybuilding.
The reason to look at it is a competition-approved wrap whose thumb loop anchors the strap during a press. The limitation is that the length is given without a rating for wrist size or stiffness.
Who it's for
Lifters who bench and overhead press heavy and compete in federations that accept the approval can use them. Casual gym-goers wanting light wrist support may find a simple strap enough.
Pros and cons
- Hook and loop closure
- Polyester and elastic
- Light in hand
- Wrist size range not listed
- Stiffness not rated
- Approval needs checking
Performance notes
Winding a wrap across the wrist limits how far the joint bends back under load, which supports pressing positions. The thumb loop holds the starting point as the strap is tightened, and the elastic lets the user vary tension.
