More from this brandAll Huffy kids' bikesOverview
A rear coaster brake stops the bike when the rider pedals backward, so no hand levers are needed on this Huffy cruiser. Swept-back handlebars give an upright ride, and the aluminum frame comes with a wicker basket.
The reason to look at it is a relaxed cruiser build with a basket and tool-free seat adjustment. The limitation is that it is single speed with a coaster brake only, and it ships unassembled.
Who it's for
Kids of the listed age and height range will use the upright position and the basket. Riders who want to climb hills or ride fast should look at a geared bike.
Pros and cons
- Quick release seat
- Single speed only
- Coaster brake only
- Specs call the seat aluminum
Performance notes
A seat set back with a lower center of gravity holds the rider upright and stable at low speed. Swept-back bars place hands high, which relaxes the posture but gives less leverage for hard climbing.
