Overview
Golden Icepure sells this carbon filter as a swap for the Samsung DA29-00020B and HAF-CIN/EXP cartridges. The media is coconut shell carbon, and the listing names a long run of Samsung refrigerator models.
The reason to buy is a two-pack of compatible cartridges with a broad certification list. The limit is that fit is Samsung only, and the listing gives no filter life.
Who it's for
Households with a listed Samsung model can stock two cartridges for the coming changes. Owners of other brands should confirm the part number first.
Pros and cons
- Two filters in one pack
- Broad Samsung model list
- Coconut shell carbon media
- Several certifications listed
- Filter life not stated
- Fits Samsung DA29-00020B systems only
- Model list needs checking
Performance notes
Water passes through the carbon, which adsorbs chlorine taste and odors and traps particles. Cartridge life depends on water quality and daily use, so a change on a regular schedule is the best control. A mismatched cartridge may not seat in the housing.
