Overview
Not an open-face spinning reel despite its category label, this Zebco is a spincast model in stainless steel. The listing gives a size code, an anti-reverse feature and a black finish.
Spincast reels are simple to operate, which suits new anglers and kids. The listing, though, says nothing about line capacity, drag, gear ratio or the included line, so planning a rod match takes guesswork.
Who it's for
A new angler or family outfit builder who wants simple casting. Anglers who want fine drag control, or published numbers to compare, should look for a reel with full specs.
Pros and cons
- Spincast style for easy use
- Stainless steel material
- Drag figure not listed
- Line capacity missing
- Category label says spinning
Performance notes
A spincast reel covers the spool and releases line when a button is pressed, so casting needs little practice. Anti-reverse holds the handle still against a pull. Drag and capacity are unlisted, so limits on fish size are unknown.
