Overview
A soccer pitch is where this Nike Mercurial Lite guard does its work, protecting the shin from kicks and studs. The listing describes a pull-on closure, a foam backing and a shell built from polyester, rubber and K-Resin.
The Mercurial Lite name points to a minimal guard for players who prefer low bulk during play. The foam backing handles the contact against the leg. The limitation is data: no description text, no ankle guard detail and no fit chart are provided.
Who it's for
Club and recreational soccer players who want a compact guard in size large. Players who want attached ankle guards or an adjustable strap system should look at other models.
Pros and cons
- Light build for low bulk
- Foam backing against the shin
- Pull-on closure, no straps
- Nike Mercurial design
- Ankle protection not described
- Fit chart missing from the listing
- Only one color listed
Performance notes
The hard shell spreads a kick across a wider area, while the foam backing cushions the contact on the shin. With no hook or strap fastenings to adjust, fit depends on the sleeve or sock holding the guard in place. Because the listing does not give a height guide, size selection relies on the large label.
