Overview
Designed by Sonance for Sonos, these architectural speakers are built for listening outside the home. A metal and durable plastic enclosure mounts to the wall, and the pair delivers stereo sound from a four inch class woofer and a small tweeter.
Weather-ready architecture and a wall mount are the reason to choose them for a patio or porch. The limit is the unclear data: the listing mentions Wi-Fi, a coaxial connection and a battery requirement together, none of which explain how it is powered or driven.
Who it's for
Homeowners adding stereo audio to an outdoor living area with a wall to mount on will fit this design. It is not a portable or tabletop speaker, and an indoor shelf setup needs a different product.
Pros and cons
- Made for outdoor listening
- Wall mount design
- Metal and durable plastic build
- White finish blends with walls
- Connection details are contradictory
- Waterproof rating not listed
- Mounting hardware not described
Performance notes
A woofer of this size and a small tweeter cover the main range, with the cabinet shape tuned for outdoor use. Outdoor spaces have no walls to reflect sound, so bass fades with distance. Power and connection setup determine real results more than the listed maximum output.
