Overview
Not a decorative rug, this Campfire Defender mat is a rectangular thermal weave fiber sheet with a silicone component, laid under grills and fire pits. The title calls it fireproof and says it protects a deck.
A big footprint covers the zone around a solo fire pit or barbecue, and the fuel listing names wood and natural gas. The limitation is the lack of temperature rating, thickness or care guidance, which matters for a safety product.
Who it's for
Homeowners with a deck or patio who use a fire pit or grill and want a barrier against embers will lay this under the cooker. Buyers who need documented heat ratings, or a mat that fits a narrow space, should check the specifications first.
Pros and cons
- Large coverage area
- Thermal weave fiber with silicone
- Works under grills and fire pits
- Rectangular, simple to position
- Temperature rating not listed
- Thickness not given
- Care guidance missing
- Dimensions field lists a height value
Performance notes
Thermal weave fiber with silicone forms the barrier between embers and the surface below. Coverage matters more than material for stray embers, so the footprint should exceed the fire. The listing gives no heat limit.
