Overview
Locking onto a workpiece and holding it firm is what these IRWIN pliers do, and a kit bag holds them together. The body and handles are alloy steel, and the grip is a power style for extra force.
A kit set gives several locking pliers in one purchase for clamping, gripping and holding. The limitation is that the listing never lists the individual pliers or their jaw shapes.
Who it's for
A garage, farm shop or service van with mixed repairs suits a bag of locking pliers. Shoppers who need one specific jaw style should buy that plier alone.
Pros and cons
- Kit bag holds the set together
- Alloy steel build
- Fast release lock
- Power grip handles
- Pliers in the set not itemized
- Jaw shapes not listed
- Individual sizes unknown
Performance notes
Locking pliers clamp the jaws shut and hold them there, which frees both hands for other work. A fast release lever opens them. The power grip style is meant to add leverage at the handle.
