Overview
A first focal plane riflescope from Nightforce with 5 to 25x magnification on a 56mm objective, ED glass, and a MIL-XT reticle for long range precision shooting and hunting on a 34mm tube.
Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane, its holdover marks stay true at any magnification setting rather than only at one fixed power, which matters most once a shooter is dialing or holding for distance. The MIL-XT reticle pairs a fine center dot with numbered whole-mil lines and .2 mil floating dots below center for fast range estimation under pressure.
- 5-25x56mm first focal plane
- ED glass construction
- MIL-XT numbered mil reticle
- 34mm tube with ZeroStop turrets
Who it's for
Long-range precision and tactical shooters who need consistent holdover marks across the zoom range. Casual plinkers or hunters who sight in at one power and leave it there will not use most of what this scope offers.
Strengths and trade-offs
Drawn from this product's published specifications.
- First focal plane keeps holdovers accurate at any magnification
- ED glass for a bright, clear sight picture
- ZeroStop turrets for reliable return to zero
- Wide internal adjustment range for elevation and windage
- Premium price point typical of top-tier FFP glass
- Only two reviews on record to draw from
Performance notes
ED glass and multiple lens coatings are what keep the sight picture bright and clear as light drops, which matters at the high end of a 5-25x range. ZeroStop turrets let a shooter dial elevation out and return to a true zero by feel, without watching the turret. Internal adjustment range runs to 120 MOA of elevation and 80 MOA of windage, giving room for both close and stretch distances on one setting.
