Overview
A fly tying bench stocked for bead-head patterns gets two hundred round plastic beads in a UV-reactive red. They are listed as bulk fishing accessories and fly tying materials.
Provides a large supply of one color for tying egg and bead patterns without buying small packs. Hole diameter and UV claims are not detailed in the listing.
Who it's for
Fly tyers and rig builders who go through many beads and use red for egg or attractor patterns. Tyers needing weighted beads or documented hole size should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- UV red color
- Consistent round size
- Plastic is light
- One year warranty
- Hole size not listed
- Single color only
- Plastic adds no weight
- UV claim not detailed
Performance notes
Plastic beads add color and an attractor point to a fly without much weight, so they sit as a visual cue rather than a sinker. A round bead of this size suits small hooks. Hole diameter decides which tippet and hook shank they thread on.
