Overview
A trio of valves changes the length of tubing on this Shreyas flugelhorn, which is brass plated in nickel with a polished silver look. A hard case and mouthpiece ship in the package.
The case and mouthpiece cover the basics for students, beginners and intermediate players. The listing gives no dimensions, and the text about a jumbo sousaphone does not describe this horn, so size questions are unresolved.
Who it's for
Suited to a newer brass player who likes a bright silver surface and wants the accessories bundled. Anyone who needs firm sizing should ask the seller to confirm.
Pros and cons
- Nickel plated finish
- Hard case included
- No dimensions listed
- Description mentions another instrument
- Bore not stated
Performance notes
Brass with nickel plating gives a hard, bright surface, and the valves redirect air through extra tubing to change pitch. The listing does not state a tonal profile, so expect a character typical of the instrument.
