Overview
Burning wood outdoors, this tall steel chiminea has a spark screen door for access and a rain cap on the chimney. The finish is rustic and the shape is round.
A tall chimney form, a screen door and a rain cap are the reasons to consider it for a patio or yard fire. The rustic finish suits an outdoor look. The limitation is that the listing gives no heat output, firebox size or cleaning guidance.
Who it's for
A homeowner who enjoys wood fires and wants a vertical feature with a screen door for sparks will like the form. Those who want propane, or detailed capacity numbers, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Spark screen door
- Rain cap included
- Tall chimney design
- Heat output not listed
- Firebox size unstated
Performance notes
Wood burns in the lower bowl and the hot gases rise through the tall chimney, which draws air in and carries smoke up and away. The spark screen door contains embers when closed, and the rain cap limits water getting in.
