Overview
A metal one-hand brake in the middle of the body sets this KHW Mountain Racer apart from simple plastic sleds. It also has a patented steering system, an ergonomic seat and a profiled foot area.
The racing bob shape and profiled foot area are meant to stop the rider slipping forward while driving. Being delivered fully assembled and finished with stickers makes it ready from the box. The limitation is the missing weight limit and a modest set of listed details.
Who it's for
Teens and older children who like fast descents and want a hand brake. Small kids and heavier riders should check size and weight before choosing.
Pros and cons
- Metal one-hand brake

- Arrives fully assembled
- Ergonomic seat and foot area
- No weight limit listed
- One rider only
- Limited detail on steering travel
Performance notes
The brake is in the middle of the sled and works with one hand, so the other hand can steer. A raised steering feature and a profiled footrest give the rider points to brace against. The ergonomic seat reduces the chance of sliding forward under braking.
