Overview
A furnace closet with a 16x20x1 filter slot is where these pleated filters go. The cardboard frame has wire mesh support and electrostatically charged synthetic media for household dust.
Households that change furnace filters regularly get six in a box, enough for several seasons. The frame is cardboard, and the listing says to change every 60 to 90 days.
Who it's for
Homes with a 16x20x1 furnace slot and mild dust or pollen concerns suit this filter. Anyone needing HEPA-class filtration or a different size should look at other filters.
Pros and cons
- Six filters per pack
- Wire mesh support
- Moderate MERV rating
- Fits only the listed slot size
Performance notes
Electrostatic charge helps fibers hold dust, and the pleats add surface area so air passes with less restriction. Filters clog as dust loads, which cuts airflow, so changing on the stated interval protects furnace efficiency.
