Overview
Not a fixed-lens camera but a dome that pans and tilts to follow a room, this Wi-Fi unit mounts with a plate and screw. Voice control works through Alexa or Google Assistant, and a microSD slot handles recording.
The reason to buy is a single camera that can cover a whole room by turning, with speaker and mic for talking to a child or pet. The limit is that it only alerts on motion and cannot go outdoors. Frame rate is modest, so fast action looks choppy.
Who it's for
A nursery, living room or office with an outlet and a Wi-Fi signal is where it fits. It is not for porches or garages, and not for users who want audio-triggered alerts.
Pros and cons
- Pan and tilt covers a room
- Two-way audio built in
- Auto focus with digital zoom
- Mounting plate and screw included
- Indoor use only
- Alerts are motion only
- Corded power, no battery
Performance notes
Turning the lens widens coverage beyond the fixed viewing angle, and infrared lighting provides night images to the listed range. Auto focus adjusts to subjects near or far, while digital zoom crops the picture. Smoothness depends on the Wi-Fi signal at the camera.
