Overview
Brain Octane is an MCT oil pressed from non-GMO coconuts and refined to the C8 chain. The clear, unflavored liquid comes in a pourable bottle and is marketed to keto and low-carb adults.
Because it has no taste, the oil blends into coffee, smoothies and cooking. The C8 chain is the point of the product. The bottle holds a set number of servings, though instructions are missing.
Who it's for
Adults following a low-carb or keto routine who want a clear MCT oil. Beginners should start small, and those wanting a powder or capsule should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- C8 only MCT oil
- Sugar free and low carb
- Vegan and organic
- Serving directions not listed
- May upset sensitive stomachs
- Oil is heavy on some stomachs
Performance notes
C8 MCTs are medium chain fats that the body converts quickly, which is why keto users add them. The oil stays liquid and clear. Stomach tolerance sets how much a person can take.
