Overview
S&S Worldwide builds this Gator Skin Softi with a tough PU outer layer over a soft, low-density foam core. The coating is non-stinging and easy to grip, and the ball has no stitching. It comes as a single orange ball in a multi-layer construction.
A low-rebound core and a non-stinging skin make it gentler than vinyl or rubber balls for group play. The limitation is scope: the guarantee does not apply to commercial use, and the sport type field reads softball even though it is listed as a dodgeball.
Who it's for
Teachers, coaches and parents running group games with big kids will use the grip and gentle hits. The listing says it is built so everyone can play with confidence. Trampoline parks and other commercial users fall outside the guarantee.
Pros and cons
- Soft low-rebound foam core
- Non-stinging grip coating
- No stitching to tear
- Long guarantee for non-commercial use
- Guarantee excludes commercial use
- Sport type listed as softball
- Weight not listed
Performance notes
Low rebound comes from the soft foam core, which absorbs impact instead of bouncing hard. The PU skin gives the grip and spreads the sting of a hit. With no stitching, there are no seams to split, so the coating is the part that wears.
