Overview
Not a finished lure but raw tubing, this set gives soft flexible silicone tubes with a UV effect in a spread of colors, supplied in matching lengths for tube fly tying.
Hollow tubing lets a tyer build the body of a tube fly in whatever color the pattern calls for. The listing does not describe hook or liner fit, so measure against your own components before buying.
Who it's for
Benches where tube flies are tied in batches are the situation, with the length trimmed per fly. Anglers who tie only standard hook flies, or who want ready made patterns, have little use for plain tubing.
Pros and cons
- Many colors in one set
- Soft flexible hollow tubing
- UV effect named in the title
- Matching length across the set
- Hook and liner fit not described
- Colors not individually named
- Warranty only one year
Performance notes
The inner diameter sets what can run through the tube, and the outer diameter sets how much bulk the fly carries. Silicone stays flexible, so the tube bends with the leader. How strongly the UV colors react depends on lighting and is not measured in the listing.
