Overview
Splitting firewood on electric power, this YARDMAX log splitter is rated by tons of force in its title. The listing gives its size and weight and little else about how it is built or fed.
Electric power means no fuel handling, and a stated force rating helps match it to the logs you split. The page is thin on everything else: no log length or diameter, no ram stroke, no cycle time and no electrical requirements.
Who it's for
Homeowners with occasional firewood and a garage or shed near power fit the electric format. Anyone splitting large rounds in the field, or wanting detailed specs first, should look at a fuller listing.
Pros and cons
- Electric power, no fuel to handle
- Stated splitting force
- Size and weight listed
- Log length and diameter limits not listed
- Heavy unit to move and store
- Cycle time and ram stroke unstated
Performance notes
Force rating sets how tough a log the machine can push through its wedge. Being electric, it depends on a power source close to the work area. Ram speed and stroke are not published, so how fast it clears a pile cannot be judged.
