Overview
Not a rod and reel, this is a harpoon built around a barbed stainless steel head on an aluminum alloy shaft. It is listed for salmon and sold across a range of lengths.
A barbed head holds on to a fish once struck, and the length range lets the user choose a reach. The listing gives no description of how the shaft extends or locks, so handling and safety details are missing.
Who it's for
Spear style fishing for salmon where it is permitted is the situation. Rod and reel anglers, and anyone who expects instructions or safety guidance in the listing, will not find it here.
Pros and cons
- Barbed stainless steel spear head
- Aluminum alloy shaft
- Adjustable length range listed
- Light listed weight
- Length adjustment method not described
- Head attachment not described
- Grip and handle details missing
Performance notes
A barbed stainless head holds on a struck fish, and corrosion resistance matters because the head stays wet in fresh or salt water. Shaft length sets reach, but a longer shaft adds leverage on the joints and flex at the tip. Accuracy depends on the user, not the tool.
