Overview
DeMarini built the 2022 Corndog around an end-loaded Pro Maple barrel joined to a Paraflex composite handle in a two-piece design. It has a tapered knob and was designed and built in the USA.
A maple barrel makes it a fit for wood-only leagues, and the bat is described as holding its punch in cold weather. The warranty term is stated as a year in the specs and a shorter span in the description.
Who it's for
Adult recreational slowpitch hitters who want an end-loaded wood composite bat for wood-restricted leagues. Fastpitch players and anyone wanting a clear warranty term should look further.
Pros and cons
- Maple barrel for wood leagues
- End-loaded swing weight
- Designed and built in the USA
- Several league approvals listed
- Warranty stated two ways
- Engineered wood needs care
- Handle length not listed
Performance notes
An end-loaded barrel puts more mass at the hitting end, which adds power to a swing but takes more effort to control. Cold-weather punch is the maker's claim, and the wood barrel is what meets wood-only rules.
