Overview
A gardener or woodcutter with larger branches gets a long hand saw here, with a round blade shape and an arbor composite handle. A storage case protects it when it is folded away.
The reason to buy is the long blade that reaches thick wood with the hand power alone. The limitation is that it is a large saw and the listing leaves tooth pitch unexplained.
Who it's for
A landowner or camper clearing branches will use the long blade and case. A woodworker needing joinery cuts should choose a fine-tooth saw.
Pros and cons
- Long blade for thick limbs
- Light for its length
- Hand powered, no fuel
- Large when open
- Tooth pitch unexplained
- Not for fine woodwork
Performance notes
The long blade lets each stroke travel far through the wood, so cutting thick limbs needs fewer strokes. Large teeth clear sawdust quickly, which leaves a rougher cut than fine-tooth saws.
