Overview
Not a reading lamp, this Jambo piece is a magma motion lamp with a glass shade, an aluminum base and wax that moves in blue liquid. It stands freely on a table and plugs into the wall.
A calm moving light for a bedroom, office or living room is the reason to look at it, and the bulb is included. The limitation is the sparse and conflicting spec list: the base and bulb shape listed do not match, and the control method is stated two ways.
Who it's for
Teens, adults and kids who like a night light or a desk decoration with slow motion. It is for indoor use only. People who want a bright task lamp or Bluetooth control should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Bulb included in the box
- Slow wax motion looks calming
- Aluminum base with glass shade
- Freestanding tabletop use
- Decor lighting only
- Bulb base and shape conflict
- Switch listed two ways
- Indoor use only
Performance notes
The incandescent bulb heats the wax at the bottom, which makes it lighter than the liquid so it rises, cools, and sinks again. That cycle is slow, and the wattage sets how fast the motion begins after switch on. The glass shade holds the liquid and wax.
