Overview
Acroprint designed the BioTouch as an automatic time clock that identifies staff by fingerprint or proximity credential and runs on its own without a cloud account. It rests on a tabletop, plugs into the wall and has an LCD.
Biometric sign-in removes buddy punching and lost cards, and a self-contained unit avoids an online dependency. The listing is thin on staff capacity, reporting and software, so those need verifying. USB is the listed way to connect.
Who it's for
Small business owners who want to stop shared punches will use the fingerprint reader on a counter or desk. Offices with an outlet and a computer for USB transfer fit the setup. Remote or multi-site teams needing live online reports should check other systems.
Pros and cons
- Fingerprint and proximity sign-in
- Compact tabletop case
- Employee capacity not listed
- Software not described
Performance notes
A fingerprint reader matches each person to a stored template, and proximity credentials give a second route for sign-in. The clock records times on its own and passes them out by USB. Placement near an outlet matters since it is corded.
