Overview
An author or student who wants a focused drafting machine gets an aluminum bodied typewriter with an E Ink screen, tactile mechanical keys and Wi-Fi sync. Only a USB cable is listed in the box.
A dedicated device with a real keyboard holds attention on writing. Cloud sync moves drafts to a laptop. The QWERTZ layout and the short warranty are the limits to weigh.
Who it's for
Authors who draft away from a laptop will use the mechanical keyboard and the cloud sync. German-layout typists get the right keys. Writers who need QWERTY keys or longer coverage should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- E Ink screen
- Mechanical tactile keyboard
- Wi-Fi cloud sync
- Not water resistant
Performance notes
The mechanical tactile switches give feedback with each press, and the E Ink panel reads without backlight glare. Drafts upload over Wi-Fi to the cloud so they reach a computer. The aluminum body adds weight and stability.
