Overview
An inflatable nylon and TPU tube forms the Rapid Raft, which inflates with no other tools and folds small enough for a pack or an emergency kit. This version adds a reinforced bottom, a buckle and a fold top.
The reason to buy is the combination of low weight, quick inflation and the sturdier bottom of this version. The limitation is information: the listing says it carries a person with gear but gives no figure.
Who it's for
A fisher, camper or emergency planner who wants a raft small enough to pack away and tough enough for rocky river bottoms. Anyone who needs a published load rating or room for two should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Inflates without extra tools
- Light enough to carry
- Reinforced bottom in this version
- Buckle and fold top
- Weight capacity not listed
- One adult sized
- Olive and orange only
Performance notes
Fast inflation comes from a design that needs no tools, and tough nylon and TPU walls are meant to handle contact with rocks and river bottoms. The reinforced bottom in this version adds protection for repeated days on the water.
