Overview
Snowbee builds the Prestige G-XS on a graphene carbon blank, baked in an autoclave into a lighter, stronger tube. The handle is a tapered Euro style with burl wood collars, and the fittings are hard-anodized aluminum.
Minimal weight and fast action make it a precise tool for tiny water and delicate presentations. The limitation is reach: a light line weight on a short rod is not made for wind or big flies.
Who it's for
A fly fisher who values precision and a light feel on tiny waters. Someone wanting a reel, line or a longer rod must buy those separately.
Pros and cons
- Very light blank
- Euro handle for bite detection
- Sleeve and tube included
- Maple burl wood inserts
- Short reach on open water
- No reel or line included
- Weight listed two ways
Performance notes
Graphene makes a denser carbon mat with fewer air pockets, which allows a lighter and stiffer blank. The fast action loads near the tip for quick line speed on short casts. The tapered handle lets you rest a finger on the blank for bite detection.
