Overview
A kitchen counter with room for a wooden block gets this Cuisinart cutlery set, with German steel blades and hollow handles. The steak knives are weighted for smooth cutting and the set is displayed in acacia wood.
The reason to buy is a full set with steak knives and a wood block in one purchase. The limitation is that the listing gives no piece-by-piece list, no sharpener detail and no warranty.
Who it's for
Households that want one block covering daily cutting and table service will use the steak knives and the display block. Serious cooks who prefer forged, full-tang blades should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Fifteen pieces in one block
- German steel blades
- Hollow handles for balance
- Steak knives weighted
- Piece list not itemized
- Hollow handles, not forged
- No sharpener mentioned
Performance notes
German steel blades are listed for sharp, precise cuts, and the hollow handles move weight toward the blade for balance. The steak knives are weighted to cut smoothly at the table. Edge life depends on honing, and the listing does not mention a sharpener.
