Overview
A breakfast counter with little room gets a compact pancake maker in blue plastic with a non-stick, scratch resistant surface. An indicator light signals when it is on, and a cool touch handle makes it safer to handle.
The reason to consider it is the small footprint and the free-from list that covers PFOA and PTFE. The limitation is size, since the surface makes only a small pancake at a time.
Who it's for
A family where children help with breakfast and the counter is crowded. A cook who wants a big batch, or a model with several heat levels, should look at a full griddle.
Pros and cons
- Compact, light body
- Cool touch handle
- PFOA and PTFE free
- Only one setting
- Included items listed only as shown
- Small pancakes only
Performance notes
A thin non-stick plate heats from the base and sets the batter into a round pancake, and with one setting the cook time is yours to judge. Pour amount and batter thickness decide how evenly it browns.
