Overview
Matching a team uniform is possible with the sticker sheet that comes with the Jetspeed FT680, which offers four colors. The injected core boot adds rigidity, and the felt tongue has an embossed bite guard at the tip.
Young players get stiff support, a molded zone to ease fitting small feet and a tongue with extra foam. The steel blade is not replaceable, which limits long-term repairs. The listing does not state sizes or width.
Who it's for
A child moving into regular ice hockey who needs support and a tongue with extra padding. Growing players who will want blade changes, and adults, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Injected core structure
- Padded felt tongue
- Bite guard on the tongue
- Customizable color stickers
- Blade is not replaceable
- No size range listed
- Width not given
Performance notes
The injected core sets the boot's stiffness, which transfers push into the ice. The raised bracket on the Speedblade gives a larger angle of attack. The felt tongue and its foam absorb stick and puck contact over the top of the foot.
