Overview
A lawn that meets a driveway, a walk and a garden bed is where this Greenworks edger works, using a brushless motor to turn a steel blade. Tool-free depth adjustment sets the cut, and a battery and charger come with it.
A brushless motor is described as giving more torque, quieter running and longer life, and the kit removes gas, oil and emissions. Balance and light weight are claimed to reduce fatigue on longer jobs. The page does not give run time or compatibility with other voltages.
Who it's for
Owners of lawns with long borders will use the depth adjustment and the cordless kit. Buyers who want a line trimmer, or who need batteries from a different voltage system, should choose differently.
Pros and cons
- Brushless motor for torque and quiet
- Tool-free depth adjustment
- Battery and charger included
- Warranty covers tool and battery
- Run time not listed
- Battery works on the 60V platform only
- Long handle needs storage space
Performance notes
The steel blade cuts along the border and depth adjustment sets how deep it goes. A brushless motor delivers torque with less noise, and the battery capacity decides how much edge can be cut per charge. Run time is not given.
