Overview
Homework on the lap is the setting for this LapGear desk. A hard polystyrene top rests on a dual-bolster microbead cushion, and the front edge is curved for comfort. A carry handle is built in for moving it around the house.
A watercolor print and a handle make it appealing to younger users, and the weight is low enough to move easily. It is listed as a portable lap desk only, with no adjustable angle, storage or device slot described.
Who it's for
A kid who carries a laptop from room to room gets a handle and a cushioned base. Larger laptops, or anyone who wants tilt adjustment or built-in storage, need a different design.
Pros and cons
- Light enough to carry with the handle
- Microbead cushion molds to the lap
- Curved front edge for comfort
- Colorful Sunset Watercolor print
- No tilt or height adjustment listed
- No storage or accessory slot listed
- Warranty covers workmanship only
Performance notes
Microbead filling shifts under the load and conforms to the lap, which spreads weight across the legs. The hard plastic top gives the laptop a flat base, and the curved front edge rests against the body rather than pressing on the wrists.
