Designs load through the InStitch i3 system either from the 200 built-in patterns and 8 fonts or from custom files exported as DST or DSB using the included digitizing software, transferred by USB or Wi-Fi. Automatic needle threading, bobbin winding and thread trimming are built in, and the included 90/14 needle is sized for fabrics under 4mm thick, so heavier fabric needs a coarser needle bought separately.
