Performance notes
The 3D tri-axis sensor is designed to register steps from multiple orientations rather than needing to sit level, which is what lets it work clipped, pocketed or hanging from a carabiner. A step-filter is built in to ignore small or irregular movements so casual fidgeting isn't counted as steps.
