Overview
A beginner who likes handmade holiday decor can start felting with carded wool roving, felting needles, a felting mat and step-by-step instructions. The theme is Christmas, and the kit is sold for adults and teens.
The wool and tools arrive together, so there is no sourcing parts for a first festive project. Counts for wool colors and needles are missing from the listing, and the box is small.
Who it's for
A crafter making a holiday gift or ornament by hand will find the pieces together. Younger children should not use the sharp needles, since the listing sets age fourteen and up.
Pros and cons
- Christmas theme with instructions
- Felting mat included
- Carded wool listed
- Compact, light box
- Wool and needle counts not listed
- Small kit size
- Not for children under the age limit
Performance notes
Barbed needles pushed through wool tangle the fibers, so the shape builds up with repeated pokes. The mat protects the table and the needle points while the wool firms.
