Overview
A fully automatic belt-drive turntable with two speeds, a built-in switchable preamp and the AT-VM95C cartridge, aimed at someone starting a vinyl setup without needing extra gear.
The automatic start and stop mechanism, and the built-in switchable preamp, are what separate this from a manual deck: there's no separate phono stage to buy, and the tonearm doesn't need to be lifted and set down by hand. The VM95 cartridge line is worth knowing about on its own, since it means stylus upgrades later don't require replacing the whole cartridge.
- Fully automatic belt drive, 33-1/3 and 45 RPM
- Built-in switchable phono/line preamp
- AT-VM95C cartridge, upgradeable VM95 stylus
- J-shaped tonearm, hinged dust cover included
Who it's for
Suits someone setting up their first turntable who wants automatic operation and a straightforward connection to a receiver or powered speakers. Less suited to a listener who already owns a separate phono preamp and prefers a manual deck to pair with it.

Performance notes
The belt-drive motor sits away from the platter, which keeps motor vibration from reaching the record compared with a direct-drive design, at the cost of a slightly longer speed-up time. The J-shaped tonearm geometry is meant to reduce tracking error as the stylus moves across the record, and the switchable preamp lets the output run either as a phono signal into a receiver's phono input or as a line-level signal straight into powered speakers or an aux input.
