Overview
Connecting to GarageBand or Ableton Live through USB-MIDI, this keyboard also works as a standalone beginner piano. A stand, a music stand, a pedal, a power adapter and headphones arrive in the set.
Everything needed to start playing is in the package, and semi-weighted keys feel a bit more like a piano than light synth keys. The listing says little about sound engine or speaker output.
Who it's for
First-time learners and home students get a complete set, with software connections for recording. Players who want hammer action or a triple pedal should choose a different model.
Pros and cons
- Stand and music stand included
- Pedal and headphones included
- USB-MIDI to GarageBand and Ableton
- Two year warranty
- Only semi-weighted keys
- Single pedal listed
- Weight not listed
Performance notes
Semi-weighted keys add a little resistance compared with light keys, and USB-MIDI sends notes to software. The headphone jack allows silent practice.
