Overview
Not a video splitter that copies one source to many screens, this KVM switch shares one monitor and a set of USB devices among several computers. A front button or a remote picks which computer is active.
One desk setup serving several machines is the reason to buy it, with the same keyboard, mouse and display for each. Consoles and handheld gaming PCs are named as compatible. The limitation is documentation: the listing does not say what cables ship with it.
Who it's for
A desk with a work laptop, a desktop and a console can use it to avoid swapping cables. Multi-monitor users who need separate screens per computer, or buyers wanting a documented cable kit, should check the seller first.
Pros and cons
- Switch by button or remote
- 8K@60Hz video support
- USB 3.0 ports for shared devices
- Works with consoles and handhelds
- Box contents not listed
- Cable and power details absent
Performance notes
Video passes through the switch, so picture quality depends on the source, the display and the cable standard in use. The shared USB ports connect keyboard, mouse and storage to whichever computer is active. Display handling follows the monitor connected to the single output.
