Overview
A garage or basement corner with room for a compact platform is where this belt squat machine fits. The contents name the machine, hardware, a platform and a weightlifting belt, all in black alloy steel.
Loading through a belt instead of a bar is the reason to look, since it moves the work to the legs and away from the shoulders. The title also calls it a leg press and a squat machine, but the listing does not describe how weight is added.
Who it's for
Lifters who want heavy leg work without a bar across the back will find the belt format useful. Anyone who wants the machine to double as a conventional rack should look at other equipment.
Pros and cons
- Platform and belt included
- High stated weight rating
- Plate fit is not described
- Loading steps are not given
- Straight bar role is unclear
Performance notes
In a belt squat the load hangs from the belt, which the strap type confirms, so resistance acts through the hips and the legs do the lifting. The platform gives the lifter somewhere to stand. How weight attaches to the machine is not described.
